Just like at Chicagoland Speedway last week, Team Interstate’s Matt Kenseth and Kyle Busch finished first and second, respectively, in the Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sunday.

Kyle chased Matt for the win over the final 43-lap green-flag portion of the race and pulled within a few car lengths with just a few laps remaining. But he ran out of time to get past Matt for the win.

The win was Matt’s series-leading seventh of the season. Kyle’s finish was his 12th top-five and 16th top-10, a sign of remarkable consistency.

“I’ve said it for years, if I could finish second in every single Chase race, I’d take it and win a championship – than to win just one Chase race,” Kyle said. “It’s all about the prize at the end, and I think this team is really focused on that.”

Teammate Denny Hamlin finished 12th.
