Interstate Batteries Racing
Taking Over in Dover

AAA 400
Dover International Speedway| Dover, DE
September 29, 2013

Kyle Busch continued his strong start to the 2013 Chase to the Sprint Cup by bringing home a solid fifth-place finish Sunday in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series AAA 400 at Dover (Del.) International Speedway.

Kyle, the driver of the No. 18 Interstate Batteries Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR), led once for 30 laps and brought home his third consecutive top-five finish to start the Chase.

“We were about a fifth- to seventh-place car much of the day, and we ended up fifth,” said Kyle, who recorded his 14th top-five finish of 2013. “We got everything we could get out of our Interstate Batteries Camry today. When you look at the grand scheme of things and it’s three straight top-five finishes to start the Chase, it’s not too bad.”

Kyle's teammates – Matt Kenseth, driver of the No. 20 Toyota Camry and Denny Hamlin, driver of the No. 11 Toyota Camry – finished seventh and 20th, respectively.

Jimmie Johnson won the AAA 400 to score his 65th career Sprint Cup victory, his fifth of the season and his eighth at Dover, making him the track’s all-time race win leader.

Matt continues to lead the Chase standings.
